OSHA has issued guidance pertaining to restaurants & beverage vendors.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued long-awaited guidance to restaurants and beverage vendors currently offering takeout or curbside pickup. Much of the guidance has already been followed as standard procedure by the industry, however, there are many new key components of the guidance. The restaurant industry should pay heed to the new guidance to avoid possible regulatory action and avoid liability. The restaurant industry is unlikely to return to normal until a vaccine is approved. The industry will need to adapt to the new market conditions to survive long-term. The new guidance from OSHA comes as no surprise as many restaurants begin to open services to takeout.
